We were shocked and saddened to hear the news that Emrys Jones had recently passed away. Emrys was a key member of the Cantley Close Art group in Shelton Lock, I am sure he will be greatly missed. The loss must be terrible for his family and friends so I am not sure if anything I say can be a comfort at this time. But I’d like to try to say a few words about him and show some of the wonderful art he created in the months he attended the Creative Living art sessions.
He was such a good natured and friendly character who embraced art with such enthusiasm and an openness to learn. Between art sessions he loved his art trips to Elvaston Castle and always brought in new pieces of artwork he had created. He was such a generous person always willing to help and buy new things for the group and share ideas. He was such an inspiration I will never forget him, the way he made friends, brought a special energy and laughter to the group and his kindness. He will be sorely missed by all at Creative Living, Artcore and Deda.
